Rule-based Modeling of Allostery

The main objective of this project is to determine the types of rules that describe how allosteric interactions regulate the dynamical interactions of proteins in protein interaction networks.

Informed by methods for determining the flow of allosteric communication by Chennubhotla and Bahar [1] and also by Ming and Wall [2].

An initial step of this project could be to construct a rule-based version of the MWC model. Two classical models of allostery are those of Monod, Wyman, and Changeux (1965) and Koshland, Nemethy, and Filmer (1966).
